The SaVVy Club – All that Glitters
Mar 25th, 2009 by savvyclub
Dear Friends,
Â
I’ve recently written about fashion and it made me think of jewellery. It’s very important to many of us, both male and female. The impact that jewellery makes on others is often rather stunning, imagine the watch, the necklace, and the engagement ring and how people comment. That’s because jewellery is not only beautiful, it’s also personal, and it adds a certain something to our image, just like any other element of clothing.
Â
Traditional Gold has been suffering from something of an image problem in recent years. White Gold and Platinum have become more fashionable, whilst Silver has never been out of favour and fashion. Wearing silver at a social event brings out the best in colours such as black, blue or white. It does have a cooling effect, so if you have warm skin tones, you can get away with a larger piece of silver, whereas those with cooler skin tones should go with a small piece of silver, perhaps a necklace, as long as you all remember to colour match, so silver shoes and a silver bag might balance out the entire ensemble.
Â
Demand for silver has been so constant for many years that some people are worried that after 2010, the world’s silver reserves will not be able to cope with the constant requirement. And if this does happen, you’ll find silver becomes more desirable than ever, because in today’s market scarcity often makes something more popular. Could silver become more valuable than gold?
Â
If you’d like the chance to discover the secret Silver Vaults of London, why not come with us to an unrivalled social event on the 25th April. We’re having a guided tour of these exclusive premises, and a chance to look at Britain’s oldest and greatest silver repository. Afterwards we’ll go on for a delicious lunch in the glittering surroundings of Pearl.   I hope you can join us.
Â
Kind Regards,
Kim Rix
