Planning your own Private Party?
May 28th, 2009 by savvyclub
Dear Friends,
At The SaVVy Club®, we’re experts in planning private parties. We recently launched our own unique Private Party planning service available for those looking to arrange a party with a budget of £50,000 or more. If you’re thinking about planning your own private party, here are some things to consider:
VENUE: Do you want a Highland Castle or a suite at the Waldorf? Would you prefer a private performance by the Royal Ballet or will you hire a snazzy nightclub and dance the night away to the latest music? Venue is a vital ingredient in the successful creation of a special private party, so think up your top three dream venues and then go about researching how much they cost and weighing up your options.
BUDGET: If it’s a money’s-no-object affair, then you don’t need to worry about this one. But if you’re just the slightest bit recession-conscious, you might want to sit down and work out a budget in advance. Use some of the headings from this article to work out what you want spend on each area. Always set yourself a 10% contingency at the bottom of your budget, just in case.
ENTERTAINMENT: Do you want live musicians or will someone’s iPod and good speakers really suffice? Will you arrange for members of the Chinese State Circus to entertain your guests, or would you prefer a close-up table magician to astound them? From acrobats to actors, musicians, comedians or fireworks – entertainment is another key ingredient.
FOOD & DRINK: If you’ve got a theme, this should guide your food and beverage choices. However, you need to think through some of the options. Is it simply a gourmet buffet or a sit-down meal? Will you need finger food and snacks, will they be served or will people help themselves? Will it be exotic Sushi or good old British grub? The success of your event can rest on the right choice of food for your special occasion. As for beverages, will your guests be greeted with a flute of Champagne, or will there be an open bar? Is it free bar all night or will you use tokens? Will drinks be served or will your guests fetch their own? Decisions need to be made!
There really is a LOT to consider! If you would like some ideas or helpful guidance, give me a call for a free consultation. No obligation!
Kind Regards
Kim Rix

Hi,
I’m looking for a venue for a private Halloween party this year. For about 200 people, themed, with a bar and some food. Could you advise some possible choices?
Many thanks.
Dear Lisa, thank you for your comment.
I work by offering a full private party planning service or consultancy, which is chargeable.
If I can help you with either, please feel free to call me on 0208 989 4886.
Alternatively, off the top of my head, you could try contacting venuefinders.com or visit
londonlaunch.com and use their directory / venue finding service which I believe is free of
charge.
Kind regards,
