In my last blog I suggested some things you might consider if you’re planning your own bespoke private party. Today, I thought you might benefit from some insider knowledge on some of the most luxurious and unique party venues available for hosting private parties:

A Historical Matter: Planning a large exclusive party for a history buff? The Imperial War Museum offers the only place in London that can comfortable accommodate a private party for 1000 guests! Take a VIP tour of the Museum with experts guides before settling down to dinner in this fascinating venue.

All the World’s a Stage: Shakespeare’s Globe has two relaxing and ambient restaurant spaces available to hire for private parties. The Balcony room and the Underglobe offer two very different atmospheres, but both would be perfect places to enjoy a sumptuous meal before or after watching one of Shakespeare’s greatest plays being performed by some of the best theatre actors in the world.

A Perfect Hidden Gem: There is an incredibly venue inside a beautiful classical building designed by Inigo Jones with a ceiling by Rubens right in the heart of the City at Westminster. The Banqueting House is an extraordinary place to visit, let alone party. It’s ideal for private parties, whether it be a feast for 400 or an intimate cocktail party for less.

Movie Magic: 195 Piccadilly is the home of BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. If you’re planning a party for a film buff, there’s no better place outside of Hollywood! Bring up to 200 guests to dine in the David Lean room before taking them for a private screening of a film of your choice for their archives.

Don’t Be a Dummy: The Blush Room at Madame Tussaud’s is one of the most glamorous, upcoming venues in London. Suitable for A-list cocktail parties of up to 1000 people or a sit down meal for 350, you can hang out with the stars, without footing the bills for their riders!
