The Secret to Successful Office Christmas Parties in London
Sep 8th, 2009 by savvyclub
Dear Friends,
Looking through some of the wonderful comments that have been made recently in response to my blog articles, I noted that Office Christmas Parties are already being planned! So today, I would like to address the much anticipated, chance to really let your hair down, annual Office Christmas Parties and rename them “Christmas Social Parties”.
How do you reward your employees for the great work that they’ve done this year? One way is to offer them something very exclusive and unique in terms of Social Parties at Christmas.
The City of London is literally exploding with exciting venues to locate your Social Party at Christmas time, so here’s just a select few.
If you want to show your staff how much they mean to you, then the rather unique Cinnamon Kitchen is definitely the place to do that. Quietly tucked away in Devonshire Square, the Cinnamon Kitchen has four social events spaces, a good sized bar and an open-plan restaurant with room for 120 guests. If you have a small company or you want to hold an exclusive ‘Management-Only’ Christmas social event, then they also have a very special private dining area for only 12. With a saucy cocktail list and fabulous party menus available, this is one of the coolest places to host your social party at Christmas.
Work in the City and want to offer your company’s large number of employees a glittering Christmas social event that they’ll remember? It’s worth considering The East Wintergarden, the incredible 27-metre-high glass atrium in the centre of Canary Warf. With stunning views of Jubilee Park, this light-filled setting has a late license, incredible sound system and sumptuous catering facilities. This amazing place is only a short walk from nearby transport links. The East Wintergarden can accommodate guests from 50 to 1000 for dinner, drinks and dancing at your very special Christmas social event.
Do you want to splash out and show everyone that despite a tough year, your organisation is still on top? For the height of exclusive luxury and the cost of £4500, you can hold your Christmas social party at the iconic Gherkin building. Food and drink packages start at only £60, but we’re sure you’ll want to go the whole hog and celebrate a truly special Xmas time with a bespoke package for your business Christmas social event.
Kind Regards
Kim Rix

This article did seem very promising, but if I’m honest it doesn’t really deliver. The Cinnamon Kitchen provides a modern Indian Christmas menu, and the other two suggestions are for large groups or extravagent offices. There are thousands of small businesses in the Capital, and it can be very difficult to find the right venue for the office Christmas dinner. Excellent restaurants are reluctant to offer a festive menu, which is often a main requirement of a Christmas lunch.
Perhaps this article could have been improved with some hot tips on planning for this Christmas, for instance, when the festive menus tend to become available and any pitfalls that may be encountered when organising this type of event.
Dear Belinda,
Thank you very much for your feedback.
I will address your suggestions very shortly.
best,
Kim
We would like to recommend live music and that novelty factor for any Christmas Office party. Why not consider the Silk Street Jazz band http://www.silkstreethotseven.co.uk. An excellent choice for your Christmas bash. The band will help inject some festive fun into your celebrations and put a smile on everyone’s faces.
We are booking now for Christmas 2009 and our prices are very reasonable. We welcome all enquiries.
