Looking for Exclusive Events in London?

I receive dozens of emails about exclusive events taking place in and around London. Every now and again, I come across an event that I think is worth shouting about. Today, I’d like to share three of those events with you, to give you an idea of the kinds of opportunities that you too could enjoy.

An Evening with Richard Holmes

This particular exclusive event combines fine dining at a fantastic London venue with a top speaker on military history. The Guards Museum is a splendid venue containing a wealth of information and artefacts relating to the five regiments of Her Majesty’s Foot Guards – the scarlet thread that runs through the great tapestry of Britain’s proud history over the last 350 years. It’s being held on Thursday 12th November and Richard Holmes, one of Britain’s best-known and respected military historians will be telling the story of “Redcoat (The British Soldier 1750 – 1850.

An Evening with Barry Cryer

This exclusive event sounds like fun, especially if you take humour seriously! The much loved Barry Cryer has been making people laugh for over 50 years and continues to be at the top of his game! Probably best known to the nation as the treacle-voiced contestant on Radio 4’s ‘I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue’ Barry was the one you could hear belly-laughing to late Humphrey Lyttelton’s filthiest double entendres!

This light-hearted and amusing evening, combines the launch of his latest book, ‘The Barry Cryer Comedy. Being held at the Mayfair Hotel in late November, the evening combines a drinks reception with a delicious dinner, after which Barry will entertain you with anecdotes from his amazing career as both a writer and performer.

Chefs for Heroes

Here’s one to make your mouth water. On the 2^nd October London’s top chefs will be cooking up a five course feast at London’s Guildhall to raise money for troops wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq. “Help for Heroes is an independent charity that raises vitally needed funds to help the services and facilities like Headley Court support our wounded troops. Thanks to Help for Heroes our boys and girls wounded in the service of their country will have a brighter future and it is why this charity has been chosen to benefit from this year’s Chef’s event.“ Tickets cost from £500 and can be booked at www.chefsforheroes.org
