Amazing Places to Throw a Party
May 11th, 2010 by savvyclub
Dear Friends,
One of my favourite things about the UK is its history. Like many European countries we have a long, intricate and exciting history that seeps out of every pore of our landscape, culture and architecture. Each historical building has its own unique story and place in the history of the UK which is both fascinating and humbling.
When I have guests visiting from the USA I love to take them around to a few choice heritage sites. I feel like I have been to nearly every castle there is to see in Britain but each time I have a visitor I find somewhere new, exciting and often breathtaking.
If you are thinking of holding an exquisite, unique and incredible special party then what better a venue than one of our magnificent castles or stately homes. There is one in every county so there is no excuse about not finding one. Set in the most beautiful grounds or with stunning backdrops your jaw hits the floor before you even step inside. Imagine a daytime party with drinks and croquet on the manicured lawn or sunny afternoon strolls through the gardens.
Then once inside you could be transported to a whole different century. Most castles and stately homes are maintained or restored to the period when it was last ‘lived in’. The décor is impressive and personal to the family who once lived there – or in some cases still do!
There is a romance about attending a party in a castle. It harks back to days where etiquette, properness and hospitality were demanded and expected. Where guests would expect to be wowed, mesmerized and treated like royalty.
And who would expect anything less…
Kind regards,
Kim Rix
