Join an Exclusive Membership Club

Dear Friends,

Perhaps unusually, today I would like to write about some of the other membership clubs in London. This is in response to a blog comment from Mia who is finding it difficult to find a membership club in London which doesn’t require a recommendation or referral form inside the club. Mia has moved to London from abroad and like many people in the same position doesn’t have a network of people in her new home.

I can completely understand that this is a challenge, but we like to keep strictly to our membership rules in SaVVy so I did a little research and thought that I could recommend some clubs that do not need a recommendation or someone to second an application.

The clubs that I found were;

Scotch Malt Whisky Society (www.smws.com) – An opportunity to network with an international network of whisky lovers.

East Room (www.thstrm.com) – The latest addition to an international group of members bars and clubs in London, New York and the French Alps.

Century Club (www.centuryclub.co.uk) – One of Soho’s best keep secrets for creative types!

Royal Commonwealth Society (www.thecrs.org) – An ‘ international educational charity’ with an excellent member’s club.

Adam Street (www.adamstreet.co.uk) – For independent, intelligent budding entrepreneur or frantic freelancer (and more!)

City Golf Health Club (www.citygolfclubs.com) – Send an email to discuss membership. “The renowned golf and entertainment destination throughout the City.”

Caledonian Club (www.caledonianclub.com) – For membership you need to meet with the committee. For your little piece of Scotland…

The Hospital Club (www.thehospitalclub.com) – For membership you need to meet with the committee. A club exclusively for people in the creative industries.

Home House Club (www.homehouse.co.uk) – No interviews, no board of selectors – a ‘home form home’.

Quintessentially (Quintessentiallysoho.com) – A global private member’s club.
