Five Top UK Events To Visit in 2011
Dec 7th, 2010 by savvyclub
Dear friends,
Today I want to talk to you about Events in 2011. I appreciate that for some, it is difficult to think ahead, particularly when Christmas is just around the corner and getting that out of the way before doing anything else is probably your main concern right now. I understand that.
However, with events such as Rugby Six Nations (England Vs Italy) taking place as early as 12 February 2011, I really would advise you to start planning now, because before you know it, February 12th will be here. I should know because February 12th just happens to be my birthday – and it always staggers me how quickly it arrives, as if I just packed away the Christmas decorations yesterday.
Before we get to February even, Burns Night (27 January 2011) is a popular celebration in the events calendar. There are usually plenty of Burns Night events in London to choose from but be warned, I’ve seen tickets sell like hotcakes! Here’s one that caught my eye – The Mayfair Sporting Club’s annual ‘Burns Night’ celebration combines a black tie dinner with Boxing. More details on their web site: www.mayfairsportingclub.com
The Cheltenham National Hunt Festival is held from Tuesday 15 to Friday 18 March 2011 at the Cheltenham Racecourse. The Cheltenham Festival is said to be the greatest jump race meeting in the world – the Olympic Games of National Hunt Racing. Fancy taking a short break in May? The Monaco Grand Prix (Thursday 27 to Sunday 29 May 2011) is a high-adrenaline event, and incredibly glamorous. Seen by many as the most jaw-dropping event in global sport, it is the jewel in the crown of the Formula One calendar and an incredible experience that will not be forgotten.
My last suggestion for you is Wimbledon Tennis Championships 2011 (Monday 20 June to Sunday 3 July). Have you been following Rafael Nadal? Can he win the men’s championships for the third time? Will Serena and Venus thrash it out and dominate the women’s singles yet again?
In previous years, we’ve organised bespoke trips to Royal Ascot. We secure tickets, hospitality, programmes, parking and transport on behalf of our esteemed clients. The only thing we can’t promise to deliver is ‘good weather’ but fortunately, we’ve been very lucky on both occasions. But what has made both occasions so special and memorable is that we’ve invited a celebrity guest to spend the day with us – we’ve enjoyed the company of a celebrity chef, and a celebrity jockey.
Our speciality is creating bespoke events. If you would like us to use our connections on your behalf, to help you create a bespoke, memorable and unique event, perhaps for your family or group of friends, get in touch. Simply call me on 0208 989 4886.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
