Dear friends of The SaVVy Club®
Have you been following the progress of the London 2012 Olympics? Did you volunteer to be a Games Maker?
I for one am very excited about the London UK Olympics and want to make sure you have all the necessary information to keep yourself up to date so that you don’t miss out.
Back in October, The London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) revealed its ticket pricing structure across the 26 sports of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Tickets for the 2012 Games go on sale in March 2011 and there will be a range of prices and initiatives to make tickets as accessible as possible.
Key facts about the ticket price strategy include:
8.8 million tickets will be available for the Olympic Games
75% of tickets on sale to the public from March 2011
90% of tickets £100 or under
Two-thirds of tickets £50 or under
2.5 million tickets £20 or under
Young people 16 and under benefit from ‘Pay Your Age’ scheme
People aged 60+ pay £16
I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s a very interesting pricing structure.

Today, the London 2012 Games announced that the Royal Mint will produce around 4,700 victory medals at its headquarters in Llantrisant, South Wales. The medals will be designed by a UK-based artist, currently being short-listed.
The chosen design will be announced in summer 2011. Will it be you? Do you know anyone on the shortlist? Do let us know – leave a comment below.
I hope the above information is useful, and will endeavor to keep you posted, so please do visit again soon!
