7 Things you can do with champagne
Jun 7th, 2011 by savvyclub

1. Join a Champagne Club
Are you a Champagne Connoisseur? Do you spend your time entertaining clients or friends frequently? Then you might consider joining the Champagne Club UK. You will receive free glasses of Champagne when you dine at the top restaurants in London. If you dine alone once a week, it is worth £500, if you entertain regularly, it is worth over £6,000. Ask me about the introductory offer.
2. Spend a weekend in Champagne
Fancy taking a private tour of the vineyards to places that most people never go? Here’s a rare opportunity to take part in a personalised champagne tasting with one of the world’s leading champagne experts. Whether you are a novice or a connoisseur you will be amazed how much you will learn. Relax in luxury accommodation and enjoy two mouth-watering champagne dinners prepared by our local super chef. Delve into the heart of Champagne that most tourists never get to find out about.
3. Take a Concorde flight with champagne tasting
Were you one of the lucky ones who experienced a flight on Concorde? Sadly, this beautiful lady no longer flies, but you might be interested to know about Concorde Champagne Days. Lunch or Dinner will be taken with Capt. Mike Bannister, British Airways’ Chief Concorde Pilot, and, after your meal, he will give a fascinating Concorde presentation. Your day with Concorde will also include a brief visit to the Concorde Simulator- the only one in the world open to the public!
4. Give your guests a personalised miniature champagne bottle
Are you planning a wedding or event? Send your guests home with a treat. Create a personalised miniature champagne bottle to give to them to take away and remember your special event by.
5. Experience Vertigo 42 champagne bar
Situated in Tower 42, Vertigo 42 Champagne Bar offers a stunning view as well as 30 varieties of Champagne. It is said to be the highest building in London so if you plan to arrive at sundown then this is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of bubbly whilst watching the sun slowly subside over London.
6. Attend a champagne tasting event
If you Google ‘champagne tasting’, you’ll find a whole host of companies offering such events. Firstly, if you would like a recommendation, call me – I have a lot of good contacts in the champagne industry who run ‘champagne tasting’ events in London. Secondly, if you haven’t done so already, read my blog offering some champagne tasting tips.
7. Cook with leftover champagne
Have you ever opened a bottle of champagne, and for whatever reason, not been able to finish it? Don’t throw it away – it may seem like sacrilege, but use the leftover bubbly to cook with. A really easy one is champagne and peaches for desert, or if you are an accomplished cook, try cooking seafood in champagne – both scallops and seabass work very well.
If you would like any information on any of the above suggestions, call me – 0208 989 4886. I’d be delighted to hear from you.
Bottoms up!
