Hampton Court Palace Dinner Party & Private Tour

The SaVVy Club^® has worked wonders to organise a private tour and dinner date at Hampton Court Palace.

Highlights of the evening include a drinks reception in The Kings Eating room and dinner in the Great Watching Chamber. The Eating Room was where William would sometimes dine in public, watched by his courtiers. On these occasions the room was furnished with a large dining table and a chair for the King with food brought through the door on the north side. Not much has changed in this respect, as today you too can dine on one large dining table or two round tables and your food will still be brought through the same door as in 1700!

The Great Watching Chamber adjoining Henry VIII's Great Hall has one long table running down the room. The room itself takes its name from the royal bodyguards who were stationed here to control access to the King and was originally the first of Henry VIII's state rooms used for entertaining those members of the court who had attained the status of baron or above.

Of all the King's many residences, each with at least half a dozen state rooms, this is the only one to survive in anything like its original form. This event will offer the finest food and wines, coupled with discreet but attentive service to provide a truly memorable experience.
